Studying under the sunEducation in Kullu has grown through the years in a very healthy way. With the coming of new technology, awareness of Computer education has also increased amongst the people of Kullu.

There has been an increase in the number of English medium Schools. Kullu district has a widespread network of 958 government-operated schools out of which there are 698 primary schools, 86 middle schools, 102 high schools and 36 senior secondary schools.

Computer educationThere are several Computer, Music, Sports & Vocational Training Centres too, which add to the package of learning.

According to 2001 census, literacy rate of Kullu district is 73.36%. The growth rate between 1991 and 2001 has been 25.60%. This rate goes a long way in making Himachal Pradesh the second most literate state of India.

This has enabled the people in achieving economical emancipation and social upgradation.
