This
trek is surrounded with beautiful mountain ranges full of Deodar
forest and snow covered peaks. It covers one of the most beautiful
flower bedecked passes as well as the village Malana,
a very old democratic habitation.

DAY 1: MANALI - NAGGAR - JANA
(2150 Mt)
A 21 km drive takes you to Naggar,
the starting point of the trek and old capital of Kullu Valley.
A nature road leads through beautiful Deodar forests up to the
picturesque village Nashala. A gradual walk of 4 to 5 hours
takes you to village Jana, the destination of the day.
DAY 2: JANA - MATIKOCHAR (2340
Mt)
A motorable way leads to Matikochar where you have a beautiful
view of Kullu valley and the surrounding snow covered peaks.
At night you can see the lights of Kullu town from the camp.
DAY 3: MATIKOCHOR - BIJLIMAHADEV
(2460 Mt)
A gradual walk through Kais wildlife sanctuary leads to a temple
of Lord Shiva. From the camp at Bijlimahadev you can see the
twin valleys of river Beas and Parvati.
DAY 4: BIJLIMAHADEV - JARI
(1524 Mt)
It takes about 3 hours to descend to the village Sharsari from
where you can take a bus / jeep to Jari.
DAY 5: JARI - MALANA (2652
Mt)
A walk through deep forest along a river, then over high cliffs
to Malana, a unique habitation which has maintained its own
democratic system of government for many centuries. Camp near
the village.
DAY 6: MALANA - CHANDRAKHANI PASS (3660
Mt) - NAWA TAPRU (3000 Mt)
3 hours of steep climb takes you to Chandrakhani pass, at the
top of the flower valley. Then the way descends gradually to
Nawa Tapru, a beautiful meadow.
DAY 7: NAWA TAPRU - NAGGAR (1760 Mt) -
MANALI
The trail leads down to Naggar through meadows and forests.
You pass Rumsu village, the Roerich Art Gallery and Naggar Castle
on the way. From Naggar drive by bus / jeep back to Manali.
