Kullu district has around 500 registered hotels and if we include unregistered hotels too the number goes upto 1400. The hotels in the valley provide modern amenities for comfortable stay. Hotels are easily available in the main towns as well as on the outskirts. Tourist season in Manali peaks in April-June, October & December. One could avail of attractive discounts in the off-season as far as tariff of hotels are concerned.

Guest Houses
There are number of guest houses (price ranging from Rs. 50 to Rs. 500) in and around Kullu valley which are easy on the pocket of the traveller and also gives one the feel of staying in a good hotel.

Cottages
There are cottages available at daily/monthly or yearly basis in Kullu valley at pretty reasonable prices having idyllic surroundings giving one the impression of a home away from home.

Camping Sites
Camping in the valleyIf you want to be in the lap of Nature and experience the novelty of staying outdoors then there are these camping sites just waiting for you. These sites have been established by the HPTDC and various other private agencies. Some of the main camping sites are in Solang Nala, Shoja and Raison.

Paying Guest Houses
At a few places accommodation is also available in the private residences in and around the villages, here one can be a part of the local culture and lifestyle . These paying guest houses of the valley bestow you with homely environment.

Dharamshalas
Some temples and gurudwaras (place of worship of the sikhs) have accommodation for the travellers either at nominal price or free of cost. This type of accommodation is known as dharamshalas and there are quite a few dharamshalas spread over the Kullu valley. In Kullu Vaishno Devi Temple, Sheetla Mata Temple and the gurudwara and in Manali Siyali Mahadev Temple and the gurudwara run dharamshalas.

Youth Hostels
Youth Hostels Association of India (YHAI) also runs youth hostels in the valley. Here the groups of students can stay at very nominal price.
