Pertinent
innovations are emerging out of the newly harnessed institutional
and technological areas like Land Use Mapping, Remote Sensing,
Biodiversity and Biotechnology, which have great relevance for
efficient land and water use, conservation and management as well
as for increasing the productivity, production and sustainability
of agriculture. The innovations, from these areas of research
are to be made continuously, included in the hi-tech package of
practices and passed on to the farmers for implementation and
adoption in the fields.
