Every
morning with the break of the day a small figure walks down the
narrow lanes of the Himalayas carrying a bag on his back and reaches
his destination. This figure is a small child on his way to school.
Children in Kullu had to walk miles in order to study, but times
have changed and there is a school in each and every village of
Kullu district. The valley now glows with the light of knowledge
and this light is undoubtedly leading Kullu towards progress.
With the opening of mere ten schools in 1948 the number of schools
has increased manifold. There is now a widespread network of both
government and private schools, which aim at providing quality
education to the students of the valley.
