Rivers
Beas, Tirthan and Parbati cascading down from the Himalayas provide
unequalled sites for fishing. The tributaries of these rivers
gurgling down the mountains also provide avenues for trout angling.
There are several sites along River Beas and its tributaries
that have plentiful trout fish.
BEST FISHING SPOTS ALONG RIVER BEAS AND ITS
TRIBUTARIES:
Stretches between Kullu and Manali-
There are numerous wonderful spots on this 42 km stretch. Kalath,
Katrain, Raison and Seo Bagh are the ones easily approachable.
Stretches between Bhuntar and Kasol in River Parbati:
This 35 km long stretch is known for its fantastic size of trout
with hard slopes, fast waters and deep pools.
To approach this stretch from Kullu, you have to drive down to
Bhuntar, 12 km and then across River Beas eastwards you have to
follow the famous Bhuntar- Manikaran road and just travelling
5 km the trout stream is awaiting you.
Sainj Stream of River Beas: This
stream passes 27 km through the thick forests with fast currents
and offers interesting fishing.
To approach this stream you have to drive down 35 km from Kullu
to Larji via Aut and from here, the famous Trout stream known
as Sainj starts. All fishing spots are easily accessible.
Tirthan Stream: This stream is
35 km long, which offers you an assured Trout angling flowing
through the gradual slopes with a number of good fishing spots.
From Kullu you have to drive down 35 km via Aut to Larji and
there the Tirthan stream invites you for an exciting angling.
