Namdhari Kullu Shawls was founded in the year 1992 with the aim of providing employment to the jobless weavers of the nearby villages.

The field of Handloom and Handicrafts is quite vast in Himachal Pradesh. Most of the shawl industries are engaged in the manufacturing of Ladies and Gents shawls (woolen, angora and pashmina), mufflers, scarves, etc. At Namdhari Kullu Shawls, we use improved techniques and designs. We were the first to launch Silk Pashmina and Angora shawls throughout India.

Namdhari Kullu Shawls periodically conducts exhibitions, participates in Indian and International Trade Fairs and organizes buyer-seller meets. The main objective of Namdhari is overall development of the artisans. It is protecting them from exploitation at the hands of intermediaries and traders. Namdhari is proud of not using child labor, as only an adult can become its member. Namdhari Kullu Shawls gives its members a viable and honored future.
