Every morning with the break of the day a small figure walks down the narrow lanes of the Himalayas carrying a bag on his back and reaches his destination. This figure is a small child on his way to school. Children in Kullu had to walk miles in order to study, but times have changed and there is a school in each and every village of Kullu district. The valley now glows with the light of knowledge and this light is undoubtedly leading Kullu towards progress.

With the opening of mere ten schools in 1948 the number of schools has increased manifold. There is now a widespread network of both government and private schools, which aim at providing quality education to the students of the valley.
